The best candle experiences require some level of care. These are our recommended guidelines to ensure you are getting the most out of your Ébène Candles.

- Always burn within sight.
- Keep away from children, pets and things that are flammable.
- Trim wick before each burn for best even burn, minimal sooting and stable flame.
- Keep wax pool free of debris, matches and wick trims at all times.
- Avoid direct sunlight. Keep candles in a cool dark place.
- Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains.
- Do not burn candle down to wick tab. This can result in shattering of your vessel.
- Always extinguish your candle and allow it to cool down before using as massage oil.
- You can extinguish using your cloche. Once flame is extinguished, remove cloche until fully cooled.
- Cover your candle with your cloche once candle is cooled. This helps with maintaining your cold throw as well keep your candles free from dust.

- Do not burn too many candles where there isn't sufficient ventilation.
